Homework 23rd September (due in 27th September)
The children will be given the opportunity to bring a supplementary and library book every Thursday. We would like the children to read at least 3 times a week. If they have completed their book from school- then they are able to read their books from home. Please ensure that these texts are challenging enough for the children.
There is a VIPERS booklet, with questions to ask the children after they have read to you. Please comment on their reading and comprehension of the text.
Please can you remind children to bring in their reading logs on Monday. They will receive a credit for great reading,
Over the next few weeks, we will be revising previous year group's spellings and the Common Exception words. We are aware that the children are all at different stages with their spellings, but we feel it is important to re-visit and practice previous spellings to increase their accuracy when they are doing independent writing.
We ask that you all practise these spellings on Spellingframe -
Play the games and do the Spelling Tiles practices. When you are confident with the spellings then please do the TEST.
We will alo give them a written test on Monday or Tuesday in class.
Please look at your Group's spelling list.
